Composition and mechanical/fracture properties of lime mortars with four different amount of metakaolin are described in this paper. The content of microcracks and estimate their propagation are quantified for specimens age 28 days and 2 years. The results are compared with the properties of lime plaster without metakaolin addition. Plasters with metakaolin admixture showed out a higher resistance against cracking forming and propagation.
