    Some aspects of the limit state design concept ensuring the reliability and efficiency of structures

    This paper will be focused to the analysis of the reliability misalignment of steel structures designed according to the EUROCODE 3. A simplified problem of a compression member loaded by permanent load action combined with a single variable load actionis considered for the elaboration of the parametric study. The probabilistic analysis of the failure probability present an effective method quantifying the uncertainty in design of structural members aimed to the transparency specified criteria of design procedures.
