The application of concrete nonlinear model exposed to impact load
Original language description
Over the past decade, the roadside hardware design process has changed substantially as non-linear dynamic finite element analysis (FEA) has found increasing application. A substantial portion of conceptual design can now be performed using computationalsimulation rather than experimental testing. The presented paper deals with the analysis of dynamic responses of a noise damping wall to actions of wind as well as to the impact of a vehicle. The response to the vehicle impact has been analyzed using aspecially elaborated complex computational model, comprising both the nonlinear model of the damping wall and the detailed model of the vehicle (in accordance with EN-1317).
