Predictive modeling of concrete degradation
Original language description
One of the ways of performance-related specification and design is the use of predictive models (see the new fib Model Code and/or Eurocode EN 206-1). Such models are needed to specify performance characteristics of material and to estimate how the resistance will change over time. It is decisive by checking the probability limit conditions and assessing the service life. The relevant variables should be modelled as random quantities. For such purposes, effective probabilistic software tools are needed.A broader choice of models is useful in many design situations, e.g. due to the problems with the availability of statistical data or the testing method for the input variables of each model, and/or with respect to the authenticity of the model when using the available data in relation to the limit state in question. Authors developed a software implementation where all relatively well-known models are summarized within the framework of unified software environment. Models for the carbo
