Snow in the temperate zone is a typical winter attribute. Because it holds a large amount of water, the seasonal snow cover is an important hydrological element, the effect of which extends to many spheres. This paper discusses and records on examples the possibility of applying the method of electrical impedance spectrometry (EIS) to the monitoring of snow cover in the area of Wildschonau in Austria.
