Differences in the perception of sound between men and women
Original language description
It is known that women and men differ not only in construction but also brain function. Differences how we hear are evident already in newborns. Acoustic waves of the brain caused by the higher tones, especially in the range of human speech (1-4 kHz), are almost twice greater for girls than boys. In newborn girls is the hearing system in the middle ear - the cochlea - shorter and stronger as well as stronger "frequency sensors" in it and therefore girls better and more strongly respond to the sound waves. The fact that the girls can hear almost twice better and have a lower threshold of the perception of sounds is maintained even in adults and old age. According to some sources can be the difference between girls and boys up to tenfold. What girls perceive more strongly can be especially sudden volume difference. These differences have an effect on the different perception of sound and noise. Different sounds occurring in rooms perceive everyone differently and cause them different rea
