Original language description
Water seepage through earth-fill dams and related processes are the second most frequent cause that leads even to their breach, not only in cases of their extreme hydrodynamic load, e.g. during floods. The identification of the causes of abnormal seepageand its remediation are technically and economically demanding. BioSealing ranks among progressive methods which could help solving the above-given features. In the Czech Republic the method of BioSealing was applied for the first time to the earth-filldam of the water reservoir Hornice. The course of the application was also monitored, in addition to other methods, by the method of electrical impedance spectrometry. This paper presents selected results obtained from the monitoring.
