BIM models consist of many elements. These elements can be divided into two groups: system elements and created elements (user’s elements). User’s elements creation part is closely linked with modeling the whole model. This is the inseparable part. This article is focused on the issues of creation of the elements which are data carrier. Next to the graphics information, those elements carry also additional data which can be used in or out of the model (or project). In this article, you will read some rules how to create (and work with) those elements, and about parameters management and the importance of respecting the certain principles.
