Fracture Behaviour of Geopolymer Mortars Reinforced with Hemp Fibres
Original language description
In this research, the alkali activated fly ash mortars (AAFAM) reinforced with hemp fibres were made and tested. The experimental programme was designed to investigate the influence of different volume percentage of hemp fibres (vol% = 0.5 and 1.0) on the basic mechanical properties - compressive and flexural strength - of AAFAM. Because no fracture tests of AAFAM with hemp fibres have been performed yet the main aim of this study was to quantify the effect of hemp fibres on their fracture properties.
