BODE AND NYQUIST PLOTS: ASSISTANCE IN KAROLINKA DAM SOIL CHARACTERIZATION
Original language description
The subject of interest of the paper is the monitoring of selected soil characteristics in the water-soil interaction on earth dam Karolinka. Measurement of electrical impedance of soils in the frequency spectrum and processing of results in the form of Bode and Nyquist plots provides information on the basis of which it is possible to make an estimate of the water content in the soil and of its structure. Often, selected soil characteristics are described by the size of their effective grain or this parameter is used in mathematical formulas. In engineering geological practice, the measured impedance spectra, represent an electrical fingerprint of the sample providing an insight into its properties and behaviour. The selected measurement results are obtained by apparatus with Z-meter device of third and fourth development series. The data from the measurement were collected from 2014-2021 especially by VL_1 probe, and are just a small glimpse into the whole complex of issues problems addressed mainly
