Application of mathematical models and simulation of solidification of ductile iron castings to the prediction of properties
Original language description
The structure and mechanical properties of cast alloys are closely related to the metallurgical and techological parameters of production process. Computer-aided cooling curve analysis is employed to design and verify mathematical models of solidification of ductile iron. The structures predicted by mathematical model are compared with specimen structures evaluated by methods of stereometric metallography.
