Stress Analysis of the High Pressure Compound Vessel with Orthotropic Wound Part.
Original language description
Because of geometrical imperfections of the steel strip as well as incorrectness during the winding process, small gaps can originate between strip layers leading to the different stiffness in radial and tangential direction at the outer wound part. A transversal orthotropic material model has been utilized to model this phenomenon. Two approaches have been accepted for the stress and strain analysis, namely analytic solution for simplified cylindrical computational model and numerical solution for axisymmetrical one, making use the finite element method.
