Original language description
The transient response of an elastic strip with special type of orthotropy is investigated in this work. Non-stationary wave phenomena caused by a transient load are studied by means of analytical and numerical approach. The correctness of the analyticalformulae derived for the Laplace transforms of displacement and velocity components has been verified by using the results of numerical simulation (FEM). The presented analytical solution can be used for analysing the influence of orthotropic propertiesto the waves propagated in the strip and also as a starting point for the derivation of analytical solution to the strip problem with general orthotropy.
