Original language description
This work concerns the investigation of non-stationary wave phenomena in heterogeneous solids using analytical approaches. In particular, the transient response of an infinite thin viscoelastic strip composed of two orthotropic layers is studied. The plane-stress problem is solved using the method of integral transforms and analytical results are presented. Finally, the analytical solution is compared with the results of numerical simulations performed by a finite element software.
