On some Ethic Aspects of Operations Research
Original language description
1) It is inquestionable that the sustainabledevelopment determined by man?s ecological behaviour is one of the goals of the correct application of OR. The Christian doctrine, the capability of which have not yet been sufficiently utilized in this respect, although the environmental protection directly emerges from it, is one of the adequate means for this deal. 2) The transport policy that would make the use of the railway transport compared with the motor traffic more atractive is one of the ways forrsecuring the sustainable development. The investment in railway transport, the tax policy and the creation of timetables as an optimization problem of OR making the wide offer of long-distance local stopping trains as the integrating factor of the landscape possible, should be affected by this viewpoint.
