Contribution to chemical heterogeneity and high temperature fracture behaviour of concasting steel slab.
Original language description
The paper deals with an analysis of causes of cross cracking of concasting steel slab. The metallographic, microfractographic and chemical analyses were carried out. There has been found out that the high macroheterogeneity of manganese, carbon and sulphur was the main cause of cracing. This results were compared with high temperature fracture behaviour of samples which were taken off from concasting slab.
