Flight by Flight Fatigue Test with Random Application of Loads
Original language description
The most realistic method of experimental determining the mean fatigue life of an aircraft structure is a random application of loads on a flight by flight basis. This paper deals with the development of such load sequence which simulates a load historyas it can occur in service. A computer program was written for generation of load sequence. Calculations were also performed for the determination of the influence the small amplitude cycles omission on propagation of cracks in the spar web and wing skinn. Practical example of the wing spar specimen fatigue test using created load sequence is presented.
