ENERGY HARVESTING DEVICES AS MECHATRONIC SYSTEMS

  • Original language description

This paper deals with overview of independent ways of generating energy from surroundings for autonomous feeding of remote electronics, low power devices and wireless sensors. These ways of generating energy are commonly called as Energy Harvesting. Thesource of an ambient energy is available in the form of solar or RF radiation, thermal energy and mechanical energy. The energy harvesting device generates electric energy from its surroundings using some energy conversion method. The paper is focused onenergy harvesting from mechanical vibration by complex mechatronic systems, which consist of precise mechanical part, part of electro-mechanical conversion and electronics.
