Numerical Estimation of the Tensile Properties of the PP-CaCO3
Original language description
The main subject of this paper is the numerical investigation of the tensile properties in particulate composite. The composite was modeled as a two-phase continuum (representative volume element) and numerically simulated on a microscopic scale using finite elements method (ANSYS). For calculations of the composite Young modulus was used finite element model with respect the elastic-plastic model of polymer matrix (polypropylene). The final results were confirmed with experimental data as well as the data for modeling primary matrix was determinate from experiment.
