The paper deals with an investigation of the glottal gap effect on modal characteristics of respiratory and vocal tracts air cavities. The respiratory tract is represented by a 2-D model of the trachea. The vocal tract is represented by a 2-D model basedon simplified models of vocal tracts for each vowel.
