Liquefied petroleum gas operation ? assessment of the most significant risks
Original language description
This paper deals with safe operation and risk analysis of liquefied petroleum gas storage technology. The main reason why this work is focused on this theme is high social demand, relative dangerous features of liquefied petroleum gas storage technologies and effort for detection of the most significant risks in the operation of liquefied petroleum gas technology. In the paper, there is briefly described typical liquefied petroleum gas storage technology. The crucial part of the paper is the list of themost important hazards with suggestions for reduction of the risks in the operation of liquefied petroleum gas storage technology. Typical LPG stations are used for LPG storage (in storage/pressure vessels) and its loading into road or rail tankers. LPGis distributed to consumers in road tankers or in pressure bottles. The storage/pressure vessels are filled mainly of LPG rail tankers.
