Analytical Tool for the Identification of Vibration and Noise Sources in Turbochargers
Original language description
Cars and trucks are significant sources of vibration and sound for the environment. The powertrain is one of the main parts of the vehicle, which is dominant especially at lower vehicle speeds. Various vibration and noise sources can be affected during the design of the powertrains. The aim of the research is to develop an effective analytical tool that can be used to identify sources of vibration and noise based on the measured data, design and operating parameters. The analytical tool is developed to identify the typical sources of vibration and noise generated by turbochargers and internal combustion engines (ICE). The analytical tool is applied through the software for the analysis of the experimental data of vibrations of a turbocharger. The software contains a database of parameters of the typical ICEs and turbochargers.
