Optimalization of second-harmonic generation at a periodical X(2) grating with regard to detuning and Kerr nonlinearity
Original language description
Second-harmonic generation (SHG) at periodical quadratic susceptibility with cubic (Kerr) nonlinearities is investigated. For small dispersive media the Kerr-induced phase mismatch is described by means of one parameter only. The computation results of the maximum efficiency for the various values of the reduced detuning and Kerr parameter are plotted in a contour map that can serve for the optimization of the SHG process.
