The influence of ramp loading and pre-strain on cyclic plasticity

  • Original language description

The ramp loading influences the cyclic stress-strain behaviour of both the cyclic hardening and cyclic softening materials. Longer stress ramp results generally in lower saturated plastic strain amplitude and. higher lifetime. The 10% pre-strain of Cu results in qualitative change of the cyclic hardening/softening behaviour in comparison to the annealed material. The same pre-strain of Ni is not sufficient to change qualitatively its cyclic plastic behaviour.
