At the Department of Telecommunications of Brno University of Technology (BUT) is an experimental ATM network made up of 2 active elements and connected to the University network. The paper deals with the creation and analysis of two virtual networks based on LANE emulation in an ATM multimedia environment. The ATM server is simultaneously a member of the two virtual (also emulated) networks and operates successively under different network operation systems, whose behaviour is the subject of this analysis.
