Some remarks on mathematical models

Original language description

Models and modelling- seems to be the only way to describe the real world. We can hardly have the real world in our brains or in other memory media. It is only possible to have the mirroring of reality, only its model there. It is our natural effort to describe and to model the real world in the most accurate and most credible way. But our observations are accompanied by a finite distinguishability of our organs or our measurement apparatuses. Although nobody doubts the finality of this ability, its rolle in contemporary mathematical models is underestimated.

Czech description

Modely a modelování jsou jednou z možností popisu reálného světa. Stěží můžeme mít ve svém mozku nebo na jiném paměťovém médiu realitu samu. Můžeme tam mít jen její zrcadlení, jen její model. Je naší přirozenou snahou popsat a modelovat reálný svět conejpřesněji a nejvěrohodněji. Ale každé naše pozorování je doprovázeno konečnou rozlišovací schopností ať už našich smyslů nebo našich měřicích přístrojů. Ačkoli nikdo nepochybuje o této konečnosti rozlišení, její role v matematických modelech je podhodnnocena.
