Original language description
We used the low-level ATM module, which called ATM module or LLATM, to develop a software driver for our ATM adapter (ATM card). The ATM module is a collection of C functions providing basic building blocks necessary to interface to the ATM adapter. TheATM module provides a hardware independent, generic ATM application Programming Interface (API). For the ATM module used with the Olicom ATM PCI 155 adapters OC-6151 and OC-6152. The ATM module provides a portable Application Programming Interface to Olicom ATM adapter cards. The module can be used without any modifications as Microsoft NDIS, Novell NetWare ODI and UNIX STREAMS DLPI, also the API functions can be used to develop stand-alone, dedication programs in an MS-DOS environment. In this case thefunctions can be linked with the main body of the program to form a single executable program, which access the hardware through the API functions.
