The paper gives a comparison of different methods for estimating the noise level, which are then used in thresholding the wavelet transform coefficients. The wavelet transform is used to increase the accuracy of the estimate of the power spectral densityof noise of non-stationary nature.

V příspěvku budou srovnány různé metody odhadu úrovně šumu, které jsou pak využity při prahování koeficientů waveletové transformace. Waveletová transformace je využitá pro zpřesnění odhadu výkonové spektrální hustoty šumu nestacionárního charakteru.
