Influence of Selected Sources of Uncertainty on AE Sensor Primary Calibration
Original language description
The paper presents the comparison of results from reciprocity and step function calibration method with determined uncertainties. The calibration methods were practically realized in laboratory of vibrodiagnostics at Brno University of Technology. The shape of calibration characteristics corresponds well up to 300 kHz. AE sensor UT 1000 from Physical Acoustic Corporation was used as the sensor under test. The influence of selected sources of uncertainty for each used method of calibration of acoustic emission sensors is presented and practically measured results are discussed. Namely influence of temperature, mount of binding paste, remounting of reference sensor, remounting of pair sensor, speed of capillary break and thickness of capillary are shown. The big influence on uncertainty in reciprocity calibration was the influence of remounting reference sensor and pair sensors. This influence is possible to suppress by correct and precise mounting of the sensors.
