Original language description
This article deals with possibilities of using profilometry as a macroscopic depth scanning system for 3D real time video shooting. It consists of short theoretical part about classical depth map estimation from images of stereo pair and about basic profilometry. Then there are discussed three types of profilometry algorithms, which were tested on real scenes and related problems, caused by profilometry method itself. Final part of the paper outlines possibilities of several methods combinations for profilometry and classical depth map estimation, which fuses advantages of both of them.
