Original language description
The contribution is focused on simulation of the DVB-S2 (Digital Video Broadcasting Satellite 2nd generation) digital television transmission. The program in MATLAB has been done therefore. It simulates whole way of transmitted signal include stream adaptation, FEC (Forward Error Correction) coding with interleaving, modulation, channel distortion and of course inverse operations. We have designed very illustrative and robust GUI (Graphical User Interface), because we have taken into account utilizationas a teaching aid for students. The paper also contains a comparison of measured and simulated characteristics of channel and post FEC BER (Bit Error Ratio) depends on C/N (Carrier to Noise ratio). Mentioned relations have been investigated in case of various settings possibilities defined in the standard, as modulation scheme or LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) code rate. We also compare simulated values of C/N when cliff effect starts (quasi error free border) with standard.
