Interference in power lines and data communication over narrow-band PLC
Original language description
Interference in power lines and data communication over narrow-band PLC is discussed in the paper. Interference such as background colour noise, asynchronous impulse interference, etc. greatly affects the attainable data rate and reliability in power lines. Then are measured of communication between narrow-band PLC modems. Communication rate is measured in two different environments, namely industrial environment and household environment. Communication channel pectrum is measured without and with PLC communication. Measured is also of interference spectrum on power distribution system, where they are visible possible communication problems.
