    Plane Segmentation and Reconstruction from Stereo Disparity Map

  • Original language description

    This paper is focused on segmentation of projections of several 3D real world planes onto the two camera sensors placed on two different viewpoints. The planes are segmented in disparity map, and the segmentation utilizes the split and merge region segmentation concept. Two different rectification algorithms are considered – the linear rectification and the polar rectification. Segmented regions of disparity map is then use for the plane reconstruction. This algorithm is compared to point-wise reconstruction. This approach has been tested by synthetic and real data experiments.
