Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Support in Unintentionally Islanded Distribution System
Original language description
The paper deals with the support of EV charging stations in distribution system being subjected to the unintentional islanding, i.e. separation from the rest of the interconnected power system. Dynamic simulations on a simplified model of the HV distribution system are used to assess the potential of charging stations, considering different types of their support. The distribution system model consist of a local heating power plant, photovoltaics, charging stations and heat pumps. The results being discussed clearly show the benefits of grid support from charging stations. However, the technical and legislative support will be needed to exploit them in the future. In addition, the dynamic model can be modified for analysis of the support in another (specific) distribution system.
