This paper analyzes an effective implementation of cybersecurity training for smart grid networks through the utilization of the advanced cyber range known as the Brno University of Technology Cyber Arena (BUTCA) and the DLMS Application for Testing Energy Labs (DATEL). It encompasses a comprehensive range of defensive and offensive scenarios designed to prepare experts as well as students in smart grid technologies for real-world challenges. This paper introduces new training scenarios in a sandbox environment of the BUTCA platform and presents a possible way of future expansion of teaching and training for a wide range of stakeholders, from students to teachers, specialists in smart metering, and cybersecurity experts.
