Influence of battery storage systems on the flicker emission of prosumer households
Original language description
Battery storage systems are increasingly being used in households with renewable energy generation in order to optimize the exchange of electrical energy with the network. This raises the question of how such battery storage systems affect flicker emission due to the additional power dynamics. This paper examines the influence of two commercial battery storage systems on flicker emission using reproducible laboratory experiments. The results show that both systems have a small, but significant influence on flicker emission. The causes of the behavior are analyzed and shown. These results contribute to the understanding of power quality challenges in the context of increasing distributed power generation and prosumer households.
