The session surveys current methods for blockchain and traffic analysis. The presentation informs about applicable methods for Bitcoin but also for other major cryptocurrencies as well (e.g., Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Zcash, Monero, and others). Speaker explains in detail the properties of cryptocurrency forensics, including address clustering, coinjoining of inputs, transaction mixing, and traffic correlation. The session includes a live demonstration of cryptocurrency evidence collection in a ransomware case. Moreover, participants will have a chance to bring their cryptocurrency addresses/transactions for assessment.
