Kinetic study of pent-1-ene and 4-methylpent-1ene polymerization initiated by nickel diimine catalyst was performed to examine the effect of monomer structure on the polymerization rate and the polyolefin microstructure, and correlated with chain-walkingmechanism. Active species formation was investigated by UV-VIS spectroscopy.

Czech description
Byl studován vliv struktury monomeru na rychlost polymerace a mikrostrukturu polymeru při polymeraci pent-1-enu a 4-methylpent-1-enu iniciované diiminovým komplexem niklu a korelován s chain-walking mechanismem. Vznik aktivních center byl monitorován pomocí UV-VIS spektroskopie.
