Modelling of Heavy Metals Immobilization in Environment
Original language description
Humic acids play important role in influential in soil and natural water chemistry. They can form stable complexes with heavy metals which influences their toxicity in environment. Because humic acids are not a chemical individuum but mixture of variouscompounds their structure is very complex. The most important functional groups for complexation are the carboxylic and phenolic ones. Therefore several model compounds containing these functional groups and aromatic or aliphatic structure were chosen too model interactions of humic acids with metal ions. From metal, cooper was used for experiments for high affinity to humic acids and stability of formed complexes.
