UV/VIS Spectroscopy of Models of Complexation of Humic Acids.
Original language description
Humic acids are natural compounds which play important role in natural systems. They are not a chemical individuum, but mixture of various compounds. The presence of a wide range of functional groups in humic structure makes them very reactive and influential in soil and natural water chemistry. Out of these functional groups, the carboxylic and phenolic ones are most abundant and most influential in regards to metal complexation. Therefore several model compounds containing these functional groups andaromatic or aliphatic structure were chosen to model interactions of humic acids with metal ions. From metal, cooper was used for experiments for high affinity to humic acids and stability of formed complexes. In this contribution, complexations of cup ric ions with the model compounds are studied using UV/VIS spectroscopy. UV/VIS spectra and their time dependence are measured and discussed.
