The comparison of chiral separations of boron cluster anoins and organic anions with cyclodextrins
Original language description
Our electrophoretic chiral separation study of boron cluster compounds shows that sterically delocalized electrons meaningfully modify intermolecular interactions of boron cluster species with cyclodextrins as well as speed these interactions. Observed differences are pronounced enough that the modifying effect chemical clusters containing boron atoms ha ve to be considered determining or at least dominating for these interactions. But, the modifying influence of clusters is not restricted to intermolecular interactions facilitating chiral separations. It shows the markedly different influence of cations of weak organic bases on broadening of zones of boron cluster anions and organic anions detected by indirect photometry
