Determination of synthetic musk compounds in waste water
Original language description
This study is focused on the determination of the 9 worldwide used musk compounds in waste water (in influent and in effluent) from the waste water treatment plant (WWTP) Brno-Modřice (February 2010). The optimization method solid phase microextraction (SPME) was used for isolation of analytes from samples. The identification and quantification of analytes was carried out by gas chromato-graphy-mass spectrometry. The overall removal efficiency of synthetic musks from the waste water in the WWTP ranged from 37.43 % to 99.99 % (e.g. for galaxolide 55.48 % and for musk ketone 39.10 %).
