Dependence of biodegradation behavior of polycaprolactone film on the way of its preparation
Original language description
The aim of this work was to study the degradation behaviour of poly(caprolactone) films, obtained by two different methods; melt pressing and casting in chloroform, by the action of bacterial strain Bacillus subtilis CCM 1999. PCL films were aged in mineral (MS) and brain heart infusion medium (BH) at 29 C and pH = 7 for 42-day degradation period. The appearance of randomly oriented cracks on the surface of incubated PCL films accompanied with a slight decrease in molecular weight was observed after degradation runs.
