Original language description
A simple gradient liquid chromatographic system for micro and nano column separations has been assembled and tested. The device involves simple splitless gradient generation and sample delivery. Experimental configuration consists of an OEM programmablesyringe pump equipped with a glass microsyringe and ten-port selector valve. Automated system was controlled via LabVIEW development environment. Continuous gradients of mobile phase were created in the syringe barrel by successive sucking of adequate volumes of four mobile phases with gradually decreasing acetonitrile concentration and due to turbulent mixing occurred at the syringe needle-barrel boundary. System performance was evaluated using test mixture of six alkylphenones. Good values of relativestandard deviation of retention times were received (intra-day RSD < 0.3 %, inter-day RSD < 1.4 %).
