The encapsulation of probiotic bacteria
Original language description
Microbial cultures Lactobacillus acidophillus and Bifidobacter breve are among the probiotics. Probiotics can provide beneficial effects on the human body by keeping the healthy gut microflora, inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria, stimulating the immune system, synthesizing vitamins and antimicrobial agents and improving the absorption of calcium. Probiotics are microorganisms that are very sensitive to adverse environments and survival rates in products are poor. Thus, new methods to preservethe viability of probiotics are developed.
