Application of statistical methods for ecotoxicological data evaluation
Original language description
This work aims to evaluate ecotoxicological endpoints for selected pollutants by applying suitable statistical methods and to assess the ecotoxicity of these pollutants. The tested substances were pesticides, pharmaceuticals, synthetic musk compounds and foam extinguishing agents. These pollutants were chosen according to the fact that they can easily enter various parts of environment, both intentionally and non-intentionally. The tests were performed on fresh water nvertebrate crustaceans Daphnia magna and Thamnocephalus platyurus and on terrestrial annelid Eisenia fetida. On the basis of calculated values of the ecotoxicological endpoints, toxicity and dangerousness of pollutants in relation to the environment were determined.
