Purpose of the article: Purpose of the article is to analyse main facts about the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) in Enterprise Resource Planning systems. EAM means the whole life optimal management of the physical assets of an organization to maximizevalue. It covers such things as the design, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance and decommissioning/replacement of plant, equipment and facilities. The EAM functionality in ERP systems is very important. Competitive pressures force organizations to minimize asset total cost of ownership and streamline their asset management operations. Scientific aim: The main scientific aim is to reveal that the Enterprise Asset Management functionality is the important part of ERP systems in organisations which are focused on the Service Lifecycle Management and managing of the optimal balance between maximizing Overall Asset Productivity and minimizing Total Cost of Ownership.
