Leadership styles as experienced by Austrian, German expatriates and their Czech co-workers in the international companies operating in the Czech Republic.
Original language description
Nowadays leadership is seen as a crucial element in the success of international operating companies. This assumption is one of the reasons why most managers endeavour to become outstanding leaders. Despite stereotypes leadership is more than holding a management position in a company. In this article the understanding of leadership is based on the implicit leadership theory (ILT). Referring to this theory individuals hold a set of beliefs about the kinds of attributes, personality characteristics, skills, and behavior that contribute to or impede outstanding leadership and in such way is expected from leaders.
