Education as a Factor of Successful Innovation Policy
Original language description
Innovation strategies in the EU countries and EU as a whole may be thought of as competition strategies. This paper is concerned with innovations focusing on industry and technical education. It compares the rate of innovation in the Czech Republic with the investment in education. In our opinion, the stagnating innovation is, among others, due to the stagnating numbers of technically educated people and the rate of support for science and research. The Czech Republic will have to consider these factors to achieve its innovation goals.
