Influence of Technological Parameters on a Quality of Atmospheric Plasma Sprayed Coatings
Original language description
This work is focused on evaluation of quality of hard Al2O3+TiO2 coatings produced by means of atmospheric plasma spraying (APS) technique. The different technological process parameters like plasma torch stand-off distance, gas flow rate, current and particle temperature and velocity was used to coating deposition. Above mentioned parameters were monitored during spraying using Tecnar Accuraspray G3C (on-line particle diagnostic system) unit. Main interest of the contribution was focused on a quality of resulting coating microstructure, where the amount of unmelted particles, microcracks and porosity at inter-splat regions were in detail. Based on the results gained from Accuraspray system, light microscopy and scanning electron microscope equipped with energy dispersive microanalyzer will be decided, which technological parameters provide the most optimal conditions for deposition of Al2O3+TiO2 coating by means of APS technique.
